Chapter 21: The Losing Army’s General [Part 1 of 2]

Cui Lin was sitting nervously in the room. Although he was tied tightly, it did not prevent his ears from hearing the noises.

He did not know what had happened, but he knew that Hua Mulan arrived.

Cui Lin came for Hua Mulan. He was convinced that this woman had the power to change the minds of the Wei Emperor and Great Wei, so, he came to Yu City secretly.

Before that, he was confident that he could pressurize Hua Mulan into a pressing conundrum.

He expected that Hua Mulan will eventually obediently follow him to the capital for the sake of her family and her peace.

But what’s laughable is that, in less than half a month, he was the one who was pressed into a conundrum and he’s the one obediently waiting for others to rescue him.

Now, he actually hopes that Hua Mulan will hurry in rescuing him.

Cui Lin shook his head and shook off such cowardly and ridiculous thoughts from his head.

Could it be that he has to act like a woman to wail and beg, "General Hua, save me"?

What is he thinking!

"Even if you shake your head, your fear will not be reduced because of it. Gai Wu will not lose. At the age of 17, Gai Wu ..." The stern-looking man that Gai Wu left here and several LuShuihus turned pale,  ready to brag about Gai Wu's battle history ...

“Great!”

“General Hua is valiant!”

It was only an instant that the cheerful shouts, claps and admiring exclamations from the outside of the ruined temple stopped their voices.

The faces of the stern-looking man and the LuShuihus were suddenly gloomy.

Everyone could hear the cheers of the Han-ren and not the LuShuihus.

Cui Lin was humiliated by this group of people for several days, and now his mouth is still stuffed with dirty stinky rags. At this time, seeing their faces, even though he knew that he shouldn’t agitate them now, his face cannot help but reflect a mocking expression.

He was detained for so many days. Except for frustrations, he still felt vexations. He felt too jubilant seeing these people eating a loss.

The stern-looking man was obviously a man from that had a house in the city. His face was gloomy. To the back of him, a Lushuihu-ren rushed out to give Cui Lin’s face a punch.

Bam!

"What are you laughing at! All of you actually let a woman stick out for all of you! The men in your Wei Kingdom are all useless, soft bastards!"

He spat on the ground with much force.

Cui Lin's nose was punched, and he felt his nasal cavity became hot suddenly. With this sore feeling, his tears and snot rolled down with his blood flowing out of his nose. Right now, a beautiful man like him looked like he was cut in a sorry figure.

A sound of mockery followed, but Cui Lin felt that his pride was continuously cracked down by the shame he suffered. He had never suffered this kind of trouble, and even when he was a toddler, there were no less than ten servants watching his every movement closely.

Now that he suffered this type of humiliation, he almost felt that he couldn’t bear the shame…

He tried very hard not to pity himself, but the pain in his nasal cavity, tinnitus and dizziness caused by the heavy punches put him into a very terrible situation. His breathing became difficult, and his consciousness began to slacken. After a while, Cui Lin's throat made a snoring sound, and his whole body started to shake non-stop.

This made the LuShuihu a little nervous.

“Lu NaLuo, what should we do? Did I just kill this Han-ren?" He didn't expect that the young Han man to be so weak!

The stern-looking man, Lu NaLuo, did not expect that Cui Lin would collapse with a mere punch.

He stepped forward and glanced around and said with a slight sigh of relief: "He's okay, but his nose bridge is broken, and it's sunken into a strange shape. He's okay, in the worst case, this beautiful man will become an ugly man."

The people in the room immediately laughed excitedly, and several LuShuihus people even whistled. This gloating laughter dilutes the depressive atmosphere brought by the cheers outside the ruined temple for a moment, and Cui Lin's "snoring" sound has also become their best outlet for venting their emotions.

Cui Lin was writhing on the ground in pain, and his ears could only hear all sorts of strange noises. The laughter and whistles in the room became extremely strange as it reverberated in his ears. Under this atmosphere, he held his breath to hold on to the last strand of his consciousness, to prevent himself from fainting.

He is the grandson of Cui Hao and cannot shame the Cui family here in front of these Hu people of miscellaneous origins.

Outside the room.

"Boss, they punched the one surnamed Cui in the head, and now they are laughing ..." A wandering swordsman with a pointed mouth and monkey cheeks (0) quietly asked a sturdy-looking young man behind the house, "Will they be so careless that they kill that official’s grandson? "

That young man listened attentively to what was said and felt that the situation was anything but reassuring.

No one can imagine that this man who looks like a scholar is actually the leader of the wandering swordsmen.

"Those LuShuihus are abusing the one surnamed Cui. There is no time to wait for an opportunity. Old fourth and old fifth are still locked in the county yamen. We will save the one surnamed Cui and exchange them for him with Magistrate You.”

The boss lowered his head and made a few hand gestures and took a blowgun out from his bosom.

Several wandering swordsmen behind him also took out a blowgun as they got ready.
